1. Required Information for Takedown Notice

• Your full legal name, physical address, email address, and phone number (for verification).
• A detailed description of the infringed copyrighted work (e.g., "Novel title: The Magic Sword, Author: John Doe").
• The exact URL(s) of the infringing content on DiscoverStories (e.g., "https://discoverstories.xyz/detail.html?id=the_magic_sword&chapter=5").
• A statement of good faith belief: "I have a good faith belief that the use of the copyrighted material described above is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
• A statement of accuracy (under penalty of perjury): "The information in this notice is accurate, and I am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright that is allegedly infringed."
• Your electronic signature (typed name is acceptable for digital submissions) — this signature complies with the U.S. Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN Act) and has the same legal effect as a physical signature.

3. Processing Timeline

• We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 24 hours (email/mail).
• Valid requests will result in the infringing content being removed within 48 hours.
• If the content is removed, the user who posted it will be notified and may submit a counter-notice (per DMCA rules).
• False Claims Warning (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)): Knowingly materially misrepresenting that content is infringing (or was removed due to mistake) may result in civil liability (including attorney’s fees) and criminal penalties under penalty of perjury. Only submit requests for works you own or are authorized to represent.

4. Counter-Notice Process

If your content was removed due to a DMCA Takedown Notice, you may submit a formal Counter-Notice to request its restoration, per 17 U.S.C. § 512(g). Valid counter-notices will be processed within 10 business days.
